DIALOGUE SYSTEMS

Dialogue systems have rapidly evolved, enabling human-like interactions and revolutionizing various domains such as customer service, virtual assistants, and language learning. As the field progresses, new horizons emerge, presenting exciting opportunities and challenges for researchers and practitioners alike.

The "New Horizons for Contemporary Dialogue Systems" workshop aims to explore these cutting-edge advancements, foster interdisciplinary discussions, and pave the way for future developments in dialogue systems.

Topics of Interest

We invite researchers and practitioners to submit original and high-quality papers on, but not limited to, the following topics:

Natural language understanding and generation in dialogue systems.

Advances in dialogue management and reinforcement learning.

Multimodal dialogue systems integrating speech, text, and visual modalities.

Interactive and personalized dialogue systems.

Ethical considerations and bias mitigation in dialogue systems.

Evaluation methodologies for dialogue system performance.

Knowledge representation and reasoning in dialogue systems

Cross-lingual and cross-cultural dialogue systems.

Human-computer interaction and user experience in dialogue systems.

Dialogue system applications in specific domains (e.g., healthcare, education, gaming).

We encourage submissions exploring novel directions, proposing theoretical frameworks, presenting empirical studies, or introducing innovative techniques and algorithms. In addition, interdisciplinary research bridging the gap between dialogue systems and related fields, such as machine learning, natural language processing, cognitive science, and human-computer interaction, is highly welcomed.

Submission Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit full papers of up to 8 pages (excluding references) in the conference paper format of Procedia Computer Science, MS Word Template, Latex, Template Generic, Elsevier. Submissions should be anonymized for double-blind review. All submissions will undergo a rigorous peer-review process by an international program committee of experts in the field.

Accepted papers will be included in the workshop proceedings, published as part of the conference proceedings, or as a separate volume with an ISBN. In addition, the workshop will allow authors to present their work and engage in interactive discussions.
